Measuring the level of technology at small-scale citronella oil agroindustry in Aceh

Abstract The development of the citronella oil agroindustry is facing challenges in terms quality and limited production capacity, especially innovation value-added sectors. This article aims to measure level application chain, starting from aspects cultivation, product handling, refining processes, marketing institutions, including their effect on value. study takes location settings five sub-districts centers Kabupaten Gayo Lues. A survey has been conducted 40 respondents who were chosen deliberately understand general picture current system community. To deepen information, FGD was also with 30 key informants. results show that innovations good practices all lines post-harvest refining, low. So this direct implications for low productivity value products produced. Four main components have most influence, namely handling leaves/leaves as raw materials, process, sale oil, stock partnerships.
